A little bit about the branch…
The branch was founded on 1st July 1963.
We are an independent charity, which receives no government funding.
Our mission is to Promote Kindness and Prevent or Suppress Cruelty
to Animals. We receive no financial assistance from RSPCA Headquarters.
Our main aim is to finance the re-homing and treatment of Nuneaton & District
branch animals by our local animal centre in Coventry (run by Coventry & District
Branch) who take in unwanted animals and find them loving, lasting
permanent homes.
Last year we spent £15,000 on veterinary costs and boarding fees
for our district’s animals.
We rely on generous donations from the public to carry out our valuable
work.
We support the local RSPCA inspectors.
We make every penny count and never compromise on animal welfare. Without
the help of our volunteers and generous public donations we would not
be able to continue our valuable work.
The branch is run entirely by volunteers. If you would like to volunteer
please see our how you can help section.
Our volunteers work hard all year organising fund raising events and
helping provide a variety of services such as a microchipping scheme,
a special neutering scheme, and assisted veterinary treatment.
All of our animals are re-homed by Coventry animal centre, which is
run by RSPCA Coventry & District Branch. You can see some of the
animals available for adoption at the Coventry
Branch website.
Neutering - it makes sense!
The RSPCA rehomes thousands of unwanted dogs, cats, kittens and puppies
every year. Neutering your animals is a good way to help us solve this
problem.
Did you know that if you live within our branch area (please see map above) and are in receipt of the following benefits you
can apply to get your animal neutered at a reduced cost?
Income Support / Jobseeker's Allowance / Housing Benefit / Council
Tax Benefit / Incapacity Benefit / Disability Living Allowance / Working
Families Tax Credit / Pension Credit.
To apply please click here to download the form and return by post
to the address stated.
